Rick Rosenberger

Rick Rosenberger, co-owner of Captain's Cove Marine, was one of the original founders back in October of 1987.  Rick has been an avid boater all of his life and grew up boating on Grand Lake St. Mary' s, in Ohio, as a child.  Rick always dreamed of being in the boat business but did not believe that he could actually make a living doing something that he had such a passion for. 

Rick worked as a commericial banker during and after college for seven years.  At that point, he changed jobs to a new field with a wholesale sporting goods company, holding multiple positions, from a comptroller to VP General Manager.  While trying to figure out what he wanted to be when he grew up, he accepted a position as General Manager of a local retail boat sales store.

After working for another boat dealer and learning the business, Rick realized the need for a quality used boat sales and brokerage dealer in the Cincinnati Tri-State area.  Thus the beginning of Captain's Cove Marine Brokerage in 1987.  Rick was joined by his two partners, Mitch Kaplan and Kevin Dick.  Together they have built a fun and prosperous business that has seen it all.

During the 20 years in business, we have owned and operated 2 marinas, both on the Ohio River.  We have experienced all facets of the business from a small brokerage only dealership to a mega dealer status in the late 1990's.  We have since sold off both of the marina's and scaled back to one location and we now focus on what we do best.

Rick's current responsibilities include Sales Manager, Marketing, General Management and doing whatever it takes to ensure that the customer's of Captain's Cove Marine are completely satisfied with their experience.  We are still one of the largest dealers in the area, serving Cincinnati's Tri-State boating area and across the country, while focusing on the sale of new boats, up to 40 feet, as well as used and brokerage boats of all sizes.

I HAVE NEVER HAD A BORING DAY IN THE BOAT BUSINESS!!

Rick has 2 daughters, Brittni and Lauren, that have grown up boating and loving it as much as he does.  Both enjoy helping dad out during boat shows and other special events.  Rick attributes the long term success of Captain's Cove MArine to the life long passion of the sport, great partners, great employees, great customers, long hours, hard work, and a lot of luck along the way.
